  • M205 with a rotary?

    Hello!

This is my first post so take it easy on me.

Today I finally got a chance to try out the M205 polish on my flex rotary on a 5.25inch LC flat green pad. I primed the pad properly by following this guide:

I know a lot of product is used to initially prime the pad before polishing, but how much do I reapply to the pad for additional polishing afterwards? Is it just a tiny bead or do I need to apply a lot again?

Also since m205 is non-diminishing polish, there really is no point to polish till it goes clear right?

Since you primed your pad, you really don't need to much product to continue polishing. Just a few pea sized dots will do.

While it's true that M205 doesn't break down like a diminishing abrasive product does, it will start to look clear on the surface after working it for a while - and you can work M205 for a very long while! It can do wonders for adding clarity to a finish, but it does take a little bit of experimentation (as always) to see what process works best on your paint. A little goes a long way with M205 and it can deliver outstanding results.

As a finishing polish you might even want to try it with a finishing pad, whether that be the black LC or Meguiar's pad.
