i bought a makita about 2 months ago and haven't even used it. (no time) but now i'm wanting to make time so my 200 dollar investment doesn't just set around. i like others are going to practice on a hood first, but i need some add ons to my buffer. i looked up and down the threads and couldn't find an answer to my question. i was on ADS and couldn't figure it out either. so...what backing plate do i need? there are two different ones on ADS and i'm guessing the one is more flexable than the other? and also will i need an adapter? And is there a smaller backing plate and pads the the tight area's on my truck b/c i have some water spots on the paint inbetween my windshield and drivers door that is maybe about 3.5 inches wide. a little help would be awesome.
