  • Is this okay to use?

so i have been a pround owner of a PC 7424 but i recently tried wetsanding a peice of my bumper on my civic. So i knew now that it was time to try my dads dewalt polisher high speed rotary

But i didnt have a good pad so i jumped to Canadian Tire and grabbed this cheap wool like bonnet:

(sorry for the link photobucket isnt working for me now)

now is this okay to use to take out wetsanding marks, caused i tried it but it left alot of trailmarks so i needed to pass over it with my PC for it to look better.

so should i continue to use this or just get an actual wool pad to correct wetsanding marks?

    Thanks in advance,

That kind of looks like a foamed wool pad. What grit did you wet sand with? Also, when you say trail marks does it look like there was maybe a particle of dirt in the pad when you were polishing? Oh and what compound / polish did you use?

I wet sanded with 1500 grit it left a cloudy trail behind, but it was a brand new pad so i dont think it was dirty and i used M02 I Believe (it's medium cut).
