  • PC 7336 question

    Hi all:
I have an opportunity to buy a PC 7336. Looks like orbital speeds are from 2,500 to 6,000. From everything I have read so far, it looks like the speeds are too high for safe polishing and buffing. Any insights or opinions.
    Many thanks

Keep in mind that 2500 OPM is ALOT different than 2500 RPM. This is the easiest tool you will ever use on your car. Worth every penny.

Forget the technical aspect of the machine specifications, all you need to remember...
        • 5.0 Speed Setting for removing swirls and scratches
        • 3.0 Speed Setting for applying wax
        • 5.0 Speed Setting for removing wax with a dry microfiber bonnet over a dry buffing pad.

        Simple Simon... really...

          This is correct.

Rotary Buffer offers so much power you can make a mistake real quick if you're not careful

Traditional Orbital Buffer so safe it's not effective for modern clear coats

G100/PC an excellent compromise between these two alternatives and thus the reason they are so popular.

Where? What price? New? I got one at Lowes for $25 (last display model) last Nov. Plan to crank it up soon.

Wow...thanks for so many responses. Mike, the blue Lexus "after" picture you posted is what I am used to doing by hand. Took me at least 8-10 hours to produce that kind of flawless finish. I have used a 10" orbital before and just let the weight of the machine do the work. Still had to hand finish it though as I wasn't happy with the results. Guess I have a lot to learn (and a lot of confidence to build up). I just don't want to screw up the paint job on a brand new car.
                    Thanks all.

                      That Lexus is black...

The passenger side section was done by hand using ScrathX, DC2 and NXT Tech Wax Liquid and took about 30 minutes.

The drivers side was done using the G100, M80 Speed Glaze and topped with NXT Tech Wax Liquid and took about 15 minutes.
