surface apearance after #84?

can some one post a picture of what the paint should look like before/after a pass of #84 with a w-7000 pad so i can know what to expect

Clear and glossy if you apply and work the product correctly and depending upon what you're working on.

Note: At this point the paint looks clear and reflective in this light setting which is how the paint should look after M84 in this light setting.

If you placed this door in the sun you would see holograms. Remember, compounding the paint is the end of the process, after compounding the paint will next need to be polished with a lighter cleaner/polish and then depending upon your level of expectations, polished some more or waxed.

I know you asked surface appearce after 84, but here is the hood of a Corvette, after using #85 with a wool pad on a rotary.



This hood was deeply scratched (and Corvette's clear is extermely hard). I then used #84 with a 7000 cutting pad at 1500 rpm. Here you can see the surface, after the #84.



You can see the surface is pretty hologramed still, but it feels smooth and reflective. Also it looks much better then the first pic. I examined the paint and the scratches where gone, so I polished with 2 passes with #80 with a rotary and 8006 pad.

Here it is after the second pass.



I then polished the area using a PC and 1 pass of 80/8006 pad tor remove holograming that I might not have seen in the artifical light.
