      I don't know off hand as I've never torn into the motor on one of these, I think Tim 2hotford has, perhaps he can identify it.

      Someone posted a link one time to a parts page that should show what this is. Regardless of what it is, you dual action polisher needs to be repaired. Where did you buy it?

          If you bought your PC from Meguiars, then they will fix or replace it for free.

            If you look under the plastic housing where the yellow line is there is a piece that goes all the way around. It looks like it's that piece broke off at the top just in front of the switch (towards the pad).


            This piece right here at the red arrow:


            Sorry had to use the PC pic as the Megs pics were not close enough.

            You can get the parts list at Porter Cable's website since the G-100 is the same as the 7336 and 7424. But HERE is the pdf file for it if you need it.
