  • So many Pad Manufacturers to choose from Which one to go with???

I currently own a G110v2 been using it since May with the default yellow and black pads. Speed of getting the job done is of no importance. Only concern I have is getting a really nice look when done.

Has pad technology improved or is it a bunch of hype?

Seems to me people either use Meguiars pads (both soft buff and microfiber) or Lake Country. I just use Meguiars yellow and black and they work out just fine. You probably can't go wrong with either. Are you satisfied with your results from megs yellow and black? Stick with those then, it doesn't get much simpler as far as choices go. If you get into LC, youll have to do some rearch on what each pad is used for.

The single biggest improvement in pad technology had been our introduction of the DA Microfiber Pads - a whole slew of others have followed suit, with some mixed results. There are a few foam pads on the market that are exceptionally soft (meaning the pad itself offers virtually zero cut, depending on use) so they can be great for finish polishing on super soft paints. But even the "best" pad used with a so-so product and poor technique isn't going to give you a flawless finish.
