In the day time my window looks perfect, but at night the spots appear when i am driving on the road. Has anyone safely applied meguiars ultimate compound to the windows without scratching windows?

Yeah, just use a smooth applicator pad.. can also clay first.

Those 2 steps should take care of any gunk.

      • I've always ever used Rain-X .. easy, simple, and gets everything off ..
Besides, I hardly have to use my wipers if and when it does rain .. great stuff!

I think the RainX (probably the alcohol in it) has dissovled some stuff for me before as well to help clean them.

I found some left over water spot remover called Duragloss 755 NuGlass Could I use this stuff along with the Yellow Pad.. Thinking Ultimate Compound will be too strong.

I will give the clay method a shot. never tried that.
