    dumb but serious question

    but how do remove the original backing plate from the gg6..i just got mine but tryin to put the meguiars one on it to use with meguirs pads...

    these machines is fast lol i plugged it in n checked it out on speed 1 and i expected to be hella slow but it wasnt lol i bumped it to speed 3 and it seemed insanely powerful lol everything in my room started flying everywhere like crazy..lol jk about that part

          yea i see that i can stick a wrench on back the backingplate and turn but the backing plate turns with it of course..so should i hold it bak while i unscrew or?

            There should be an area on the DA where you can put a wrench where the backing plate screws in. With the wrench there, it should hold the rotating part of the DA still while you are able to unscrew the backing plate. Check your instruction manual for further details.

            I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
            I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
            Remove swirls my friends.

              i did both... i even called customer service they said they were gonna give a call back...i dont want to hold the backing plate while i twist the wrench i might brake somethin

              anyone have a gg6 that has tooken off the backinplate?

                  Be sure you tighten it back down good so it doesn't come flying off You don't wanna tighten to much, just a hair above snug
