I've seen here that the version Meg's Aust carry is the original and they have it at $A300. I doubt you'd want that, especially at that price.

There are far cheaper and better alternatives available here. Do a search on DAS-6.

As I remember correctly Mike Stoops said that G220v2 is expected to hit markets in Spring 2011. Couple more months, guys.

Why would you care anyway? There are alternatives available here that are way cheaper and do just as good a job.

Agreed with gmack, try the DAS-6 or recently available DAS-6 Pro

Is that 'DAS-6' from Kestrel? Like this one: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-329934630.htm

If so, have these had good reviews? and if I were to use it like 10-15 times a year, is it likely that it will break.

Looks the same - slightly different colour scheme, and the warranty is the same. Check it against the one at www.waxit.com.au.

I've had mine since about July, done over a dozen vehicles with it, all with heavy corrections, so I've worked it hard and have had no real problems. It did develop a bearing problem after about 2 months. I took it back and they supplied me a loaner while they checked it out. Then two weeks later, they supplied me a brand new machine with another 12 month warranty. You can't ask for much better service than that. The guys at waxit are also the Menzerna and Lake Country distributor in Australia and are very helpful and friendly - an around great company to deal with. Why don't you contact them and ask them specifically about the Kestrel?

                            Hi,

Thanks for that info, I will get in contact with them and ask about it definitely. My concern would be if it should have an issue fairly soon after purchasing it here in New Zealand, where could I take it to get it repaired :S
