The first time I did a detail the pad came out looking like this. If someone could tell me how to clean it and what I did wrong that would be awesome. Thanks

Did you clay the surface before buffing?
I'd say that's either surface contaminates in your pad, or paint if you are buffing a single stage painted car.
Most likely dirt though because it's only on the outer edge.
If it's a SoftBuff 2.0 pad, just toss it in the wash machine with no fabric softener.Comment

It is a SoftBuff 2.0. I was using speed 4 with SwirlX on a 2004 Escalade. I did clay. The car was dirty but I washed it twice so I'm not sure why it would have still been dirty. Using the G100V2Comment
