    Re: G110v2 vs GG6 vs PC 7424XP

Watching this post reminds me of the older arguments from Hot Rod mags in the past. Which car is better , Ford ,Chevy or Mopar. Like cars, all tools have pros and cons in any give price range. Most of us have our favorites for a variety of reasons. There is no perfect tool IMO. As I have posted in another thread , these newer machines are light years ahead of the 15-20 lbs monster rotaries of the past.As soon as one unit gets voted king of the hill there will be another new one out to replace it soon.So do a little research and pull the trigger. You can purchase the best machine out there and still be a hack like me. J/K LOL

      Re: G110v2 vs GG6 vs PC 7424XP

Well, I ended buying the GG6 kit after reading several replies on the PC. Was originally set on the 110v2 but I can not wait until April as the site says when this will be available. I might eventually buy the 110v2 later...

Great forum and very happy to add a new toy to my tool chests. I am tired of manual waxing/polishing.

The G110v2 has been available for quite a while now. Probably since April LAST year...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

That is quite true, but it is on backorder and the units will not be available from the factory until April of 2011.

                Re: G110v2 vs GG6 vs PC 7424XP

Been using the G110v2 for almost a year now, corrected and waxed more times than I can count. The G110v2 is still going strong and the Soft Buff 2.0 pads last a long time if you use it properly, destroyed one more since last time and it was because I didnt realize the inside of the pad was slightly folded and I was really pounding down on the paint to get rid of some scratches. (Sorry Mike I know you told me not to do this and it will destroy the pad)

I think the G110v2 will last longer than my arm; I developed tennis elbow from detailing and might stops detailing my cars. Does anyone know a good detailer in the Torrance area with pretty good prices?

Rick at ADS told me I have to keep the pad on the surface and apply enough pressure and if I have problems with the DA call Meg.

Kind of disappointed with ADS after sales support, the reason the wife ordered it from ADS was because the lowest price and she didn't want to deal with price matching it with AG. Sorry AG, I wish she would have ordered it from AG.

ADS is one of the Best is not the BEST!!! great customer service and good deals. Also Rick is an excellent guy...

Had a PC from Lowes 7346 I think. same as 7424 XP,,, took it back. Loud, bulky, handle on the side is almost useless,,hard to keep even pressure, and rotation and throw was just not there. Unit was well built but I just did not like it.
Just got my new G100v2 and love it. Handle is where it should be to keep even pressure. No matter how much down pressure I put on it it still spins (within reason) unlike PC which would vibrate like heck. So far there is NOTHING i don't like about it. Warranty? 1yr. it's ok with me. Heck I spent $3600.00 for washer and dryer with only 1 yr warranty.
Now keep in mind that I am novice at this new hobby and plan to do only my own and few friends vehicles.
Thank's to ALL Great members here for all the help I received.

                                Re: G110v2 vs GG6 vs PC 7424XP

My opinion on the three comes from the opinions of other (primarily Kevin Brown, Rasky and Joe - Superior Shine) all members here.

First and foremost, Kevin is probably one of the most knowledgeable detailers on the planet. His detailing "theory" is unrivalled. In that regard, his opinion means a lot (at least to me).

Rasky (Chad) is also a consumate professional detailer. He is not a guy who hypes products unnecessarily or a bandwagon jumper. I think both guys have used all three machines.

Joe's work speaks for itself. I am perpetually in awe of his work.

Reading some of the materials they have supplied, I would rank the three as follows:

                                1. G110 v. 2 - The reasons are because I think at the end of the day with it's OPM and "cruise control" feature, it is the most powerful of the three. I think the GG looks like it has the most power, but KB explained in one of his many articles of why the G110 v.2 is the more powerful machine. I think this even confirmed by Mike Stoops (anecdotally). Joe also lists the G110 v.2 as his favorite, citing the cruise control feature and the power.

The cons to the G110 v.2 is the warranty issue which has been discussed at length. Yes, a longer warranty would have been wonderful, but that is life.

                                2. The PCXP - Maybe the least powerful o the three, but probably the best build quality and a trusted name in the biz.

                                3. The GG - Chad (Rasky) really provided some great info about how poorly the build quality is of the GG. Those who use it love it, but I *believe* it has the cheapest build quality of the three. For this reason alone, I put it third.
