I liked your diagrams and explanation. I understood them completely. Great work.

We got a bit off topic there and I started to think, "Uh-oh... "

Great writeup and use of diagrams. The only way to break it down any simpler would have included the use of sock puppets!

              Re: Random Orbital Diagrams

I wish I could see the diagrams. Dang photobucket pictures are always blocked at work.

I guess I will have to wait until I get home to check it out.

That is if I even remember to come back and look at them again.

Well, I remembered to come back here after work and check out your diagrams.

All I have to say is WOW, your diagrams are awesome! . They explain the movement of the dual action polisher very well. Not only that, I also learned a new word, "centripetal".

                Thanks for sharing.

                  Yay!

I was going to load them onto the site so you could see them... maybe I will anyway.

Yes- centripetal force is an interesting one to understand.
It is particularly difficult to imagine how it works when discussing the random orbital.

I wonder if Mr. Dyson would come with a total different way?

Mr. James Dyson is best known as the inventor of the Dual Cyclone bag-less vacuum cleaner.

Yeah, I got that but what does it have to do with, "I wonder if Mr. Dyson would come with a total different way?"

                              OH!

Well- I didn't modify the diagrams a thousand times but it sure FELT like it!

Maybe if I added up all the changes AFTER I thought I was done...

But still the way you simplified a very complex operation took a lot of time and effort on your part and I thank you for your passion and teaching. That is why I love this forum.
