Can anyone here give me some advise on the PC 7336SP? It has the same specs as the 7424.

Apparently Lowe's has the 7336sp on super cheap clearance and I'm hearing on other forums that these are the same thing. Can anyone tell if they are?

The 7336 is essentially the same machine as the 7424. It comes with different backing plates designed for sanding, The SP variant comes with a vacuum hose attachment designed to contain dust created from sanding. I don't know if there is a reason why you couldn't use the stock backing plate for polishing (it's a 6" diameter hook and loop), but I have used mine with the backing plate that came with my G110. I now mostly use my 7336 as a dedicated 3.5" polisher.

I bought the 7336SP from Lowes a few years back. If my memory serves me right, I think the 7336SP has a larger counterweight than the 7424. This is because it can also be used as a sander. It comes with a white polishing pad(don't use it on your car!) and a sanding disc backing plate. I've used mine as a sander also and it works great!

Yeah, I think it's a 6" vs a 5" for the 7424. SVT, why wouldn't you use the polishing pad, it looks like the same one that comes with the 7424/

Except..... I used the pad that came with mine a number of times with Meguiar's M09 Swirl Remover 2.0 with no problems whatsoever. I have read many comments about how bad the pad is, but that wasn't my experience with it.

FWIW, it has also been my experience that while 6.5" pads work decently, 5.5" pads seem to work better. Just my opinion so take it for what it's worth.

How much are they on clearance for? I need to pick up at least 1 more DA and this seems like it would do the trick

Just a question those likes up there are to the 7424xp and the 7346 not the 7336 . Are the 7346 and 7346 the same?

7424 and 7336 are the same machine. My 7336 is 14 years old now. Still runs like new. The PC is a very rugged machine that has been proven through many years of hard use. I've done over 1,000 cars with mine. Requires periodic maintenance like lubrication and brush replacement as do all polishers, A great product, IMO.
