Re: Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool Pads

HERE is a thead Kevin wrote about the pads...

Using the SURFBUF pads seem to remove material paint at a rate near the rate of a wool pad on a rotary. The tiny 'fingers' of the pad dramatically increase the surface area of the pad. Because the fingers are so short, they do absorb, but rather transfer, the motion of the DA quite directly.

Are they more dangerous? With great power comes great respondsibilty. I woudln't say they are more dangerous, but they have the potential to be cause they are more aggressive. Be mindful that you are removing material at a much quicker rate and use experience to judge your limitations.

Those pictured wool pads, look very similair to the 'Festool lambswool' ones that I am using. I like them and have been using it on Honda(Japanese) by rotary and havn't had any bother.

So I ordered the Surbuf pads. Now, the question is... are they flexible to work on countoured surfaces? Specifically I am referring to the 6.5" one tested by KB.
