Re: Proven combos for C5 Vette and DA?

well i'm a little bummed. my local supplier says he can't get the sampler 12oz size, but it's available online. he says he'll make some calls and research it more. i only need it for the 'vette and don't want it sitting around for months but i'll get the 32oz if i have to.

i'll hit it with the 105 tomorrow. the pics showed every little chip, scratch, swirl, water spot...you name it. almost looks hopeless, but if nothing else, this is going to be a very good test.

a black z06 would be cool too blackmachdown

well guys, the m105 is all it is supposed to be and more. it took several applications [about 4 or 5] to really get the scratches out of the test spot on the hood of my black c5, but the results with the d/a are superb.

it was suggested that the m105 alone would suffice, and it is true.... i finished the test spot with 21 sealant and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

only one very deep scratch was left behind as well as the outlines of several water spots, and from what i have read and pics i've seen on the forum, this is about the best i can expect at this level of abrasive use. however, the scratch and spot outlines are only visible under very close inspection in bright light, so i'm definitely a happy camper. and the work the d/a saved me if i tried doing the m105 by hand......... worth the price of admission times ten over.

my local supplier let me down on the m205 so will do the online deal so i can get the final polish done per mike's suggestion. however, i can't imagine it looking better than it does though.

i took before pics but didn't use the finger for focus method mike suggested in another thread [my bad], so they are basically useless. once the coupe is completely done, i promise to post the pics, perhaps under my profile.

again, thanks to all for the help. much appreciated.
