Newbie here with Porter Cable ?'s

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this fourm but not new to fourms.

I have a Porter Cable 7424, using foam pads that I bought thru Proper Auto Care http://www.properautocare.com/?OVRAW...ID=38622144522
I have their orange, white and red pads. Since I prefer Meguiars products it was recommended that I get the following products

Fine Cut #2
Swirl Remover 2.0 #9
Show Car Glaze #7
Hi Tec Yellow Wax #26

Now I'm new to all of this but IMO the PC 7424 is not capable of properly applying the Fine Cut or the Swirl Remover. It seemed like it almost gummed up while applying it.
The polisher worked fine with the Show Car Glaze and the Hi Tec Yellow Wax.
Now for my question's

Has anyone else experienced this (the gumming up of product) while using this polisher?

Which product and pads would you recommend using with this polisher?

I'm thinking Scratch X and NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 would probably work fine.

BTW the car is a 63 Nova painted Nissan Aztec Red base/clear, it's just a weekend cruiser.

Thanks for the links, there's some great info there, I'll br ordering supplies next week as I'm on vacation the week of the 22nd and I really need to do our daily drivers, and our truck then the Nova again.

One last question. I see a lot of reference to the G100A and from what I can see it looks like the PC 7424, are they one in the same?
