i just spent 6hrs with little payback on a VW clearcoat, this being said i later read that VW has a hard CC for a DA to correct. anyone have advise on what CC are Hard , soft ,Med to work with so i dont make the same mistake again or am at least prepaired. Example im working with a Pathfinder and a Dakota next. and a side question can you acheive noticible results stacking nxt over a glaze.

Re: clearcoats
Well it would be almost impossible to give you a list of cars that have hard and soft clear coats because it can range from vehicle to vehicle. With that i mean you can have a 2005 black pathfinder and a 2006 black pathfinder and both be completly different. The best idea if doing alot of paint correction is to have a big selection of products and tools to use and do a small test area on every vehicle to see what method you will have to go by to make the whole car look like new. On your other question are you refering to applying NXT wax over something like 80 speed glaze? If so than the answer is yes you can.""Some of us will do our jobs well and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing - the result." - Vince Lombardi

Re: clearcoats
Lets also add that a particular "line" at a car plant may use 2 paint systems....
The important thing to remember is not what paint is hard or soft, but to become familiar / educated on what steps to take when you come across a car that polishes / buffs differently than you are accustomed to.
