  • G100 kits from ADS

I probably know this has been mentioned before. So, sorry if its like a redundant question.
The G100 kits from ADS. Can someone tell me what else I would need if I went with Package #1 or Package #2?

it should include which pads and how many.
    also, which products to use.

I also have towels. so I just need to stuff associate with the G100.
mainly to be used on two new cars and possibly a older one, 1992. so, I like to compare the two package and make a decision between the two with additional items added.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
    appreciate it!

Well, you definitely want to get a paint cleaner, as that is the #1 reason to buy a G100, otherwise its just a really expensive wax applicator. Speed Glaze (#80) and DACP (#83) should be what you're looking at, these are the products you'll use to remove swirls, scratches, and other defects from the paint. So I'd add those two products to your list. Also, remember that you need one pad PER product used. So, if you buy 80 and 83, then you need AT LEAST two W8006 yellow pads. If you want to apply a wax or sealant with the G100, then you also need at least one W9006 tan pad for every wax you're going to use.

IMO, get package number one, then add 80 and 83, an extra yellow and tan pad, then get the wax of your choice. Or, if you have your heart set on using NXT, then package #2 is also a great choice, just make sure you get #83 as well (the package already comes with 80) and an extra yellow pad.

      thanks kpagel,
The DA is a 6.5, correct? just making sure.
I might go with #1 and add the following.
tell me what you think and please do add your suggestions. I will need it.
      adding:
      80
      83
      2 w9006 finishing pad
      2 w8006 polishing pad
      x4003 bonnets (maybe 6)

Will I need a cutting pad? if yes, how many?
      thanks.

Meguiar's does not recommend using a 7006 cutting pad with the G-100. Unless you are using with a bonnett to remove wax.

Packages #2 and #3 are both relatively complete. I've recommended pkg#2 (with #80 instead of #2/#9) to a number of people, and if you try it and think that you need more cutting power you can go back and pick up some #83.

I think ADS has a 6-pad box you can order, and request what pads you want.

              You could get:
              1 - 7006
              2 - 8006
              3 - 9006

I would throw in a wax like #21 as well at least, if you dont have one yet.

Having #83, #80, and #21 on you shelf will detail most anything.

The only other item is which sizes to get. You should use a lot more #80 than #83, so I wouldnt go any bigger than the 32oz #83. Now the #80, depending how much detailing you like to do, and how many family members are going to come over, you could go 32oz or bigger.

                Bullet1,
so if I do use the bonnets, I will need a 7006 pads correct?
                I already have #21. So I was thinking of adding #80 & #83.
of course the G100 and all the necesarry pads.
                Thanks!

ADS does have the 6-pad pack, and it is a great value. You just need to send Rick an email to tell him which pads you want.
