I just bought a well used leather recliner. Can I use Megs products?

What's best for aniline dyed/semi-aniline dyed leather that has no protection?

A foam? Gold Class? Or, something else specifically marketed for furniture?

The leather products are safe to use, but there is a greater risk of some darkening on furniture/clothing.

So be sure to do a test spot in an out of the way place, and make sure it looks ok for you.

You can always use a spray if you want to be carefull not to over-do it. Just mist on and wipe around. I do that with my leather jacket.

For aniline or semianiline, which are uncoated leather, no matter what you do, test it in an inconspicuous place first. I would use a product formulated for this type of leather. I know Leather Masters has some, which I use for my semianiline sofa. A car leather product may work or it may darken the leather, so test first if you want to use one!

I would do the test spot and go from there. In most cases, you will be fine. But , do the test spot to be sure your safe.

Definitely test first. The products are technically safe, but could significantly darken the leather if it's uncoated.

I used some non-Megs conditioner Lexol and was very happy with the end result.
