The most common cause of streaking is over use of product and allowing to self dry on the glass. Sometimes, however, you need a fair amount of product to cut through whatever grime is on the glass. In that case, use what you need to use to get the grime off the glass, then give the glass a very light mist of product and go over it again with a clean, dry towel. Lastly, flip to the dry side of that new towel and do a final wipe/buff. This will remove all traces of product from the glass and prevent streaking.
A final tip: do your final wiping from side to side on the outside of the glass, and from top to bottom on the inside. That way, if you do still have some light streaking, you know which side of the glass it's on.
