Re: can ı use #m40 interior safely?

I use it on the interior dash and door panels and it works well.

However...... When I applied some to the rubber exterior molding that fits around the drivers and passenger side windows, it left the rubber almost grayish(drab) and the rag had black on it, so it took off whatever the moldings were coated with??

I think that one always rubs off black when one cleans the rubber (EPDM) seals--at least I always seem to, no matter what cleaning product I'm using. But I am surprised that M40 made the seals look worse. I recently used M40 on the rubber seals of my old 1997 Accord, and they definitely looked better; but my experience, of course, does not illumine your negative experience.

Following Honda's recommendations, I apply silicone grease on the rubber rubber seals twice a year (specifically, Shin-Etsu silicone grease). It keeps the seals soft, supple, and black and prevents them from sticking to each other or to the metal. The Shin-Etsu grease is expensive, but you can find less expensive silicone grease products.

You might want to try Megs' Gold Class Trim Detailer on your rubber seals. My bet is that it will restore the seals (temporarily) to the look you are looking for.

1-So can I use it in the torpedo panel safely, and exterior plastic part of the car? Smell of the product frightened me so ı have questions abaout it.
2-İs it giving a shiny and oily look or dull and fresh look?
Thank you for your interest, ı am look,ng for your replys.
Although this product is labelled for use on vinyl and rubber, Meguiar's 1-800 Hotline has advised that this product could be used on varius plastic trims.

I use M40 on plastic license plate holders, side mirror trims, etc.
I personally do not like the wet look of trim detailer. The satin look achieved by M40 on plastic trims works for me.

I love HyperDressing but I think I may need to get some M40 for my vinyl top and vinyl interior. I LOVE the smell, it smells like fresh leather.
