  • Quick Out Question

What is the best way to apply Quick Out? I'm using it on the interior roof.

    You mean the headliner?

Simple... turn the car upside down, be sure to place a towel or blanket on the ground first to help avoid scratching the paint on the outside of the roof.

        Seriously...

That's kind of a tough one and I've personally never done this.

Cleaning headliners is hard, you have to be careful you don't stretch the material and you have to be careful you don't change the texture, appearance or stain it.

Maybe someone with more experience with this type of work will chime in.

          Re: Quick Out Question

I have used the old Heavy Duty Carpet and Interior Cleaner on the headliner before, but not Quick Out. Assuming they may be similar, I sprayed on my cloth and dabbed/blotted the headliner. Let dry a little, then repeat once or twice more.

My stains were just small spots and fresh, so not like an actual fully dirty headliner.

            Re: Quick Out Question

I used the old spray bottles of quick out and sprayed the headliner down in my truck and dabbed it with a microfiber. Worked fairly well. My headliner has a 1 inch tear in it so I am not that picky about the texture.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

FYI- headliners are made out of carpet, glue, and fiberglass. A side note, some OEM's have begun to change the fiberglass to a different material although I don't remember what exactly.

                Re: Quick Out Question

I've used Quik Out to clean headliners.
What I do is to spray directly to a towel and rubbing in a back/forward motion (light pressure) you'll notice that the stain/dirt will start transferring to the towel.
Don't saturate the headliner with the cleaner, you don't have to see the headliner wet to clean it, it's something very light and the dust/stain will start to transfer easily.

If you are not removing the stain then concentrate in that area alone and remember, don't saturate it and no aggressive rubbing.
