  • Woolite To Clean Interiors??

    Hey All,

Just wondering. Has any one ever used woolite to clean carpets or seats? If so what kind of a rate of diution did you use and what were your results? I only ask because I have heard it somewhere before I am sure.

    Thanks in advance

I have only used woolite diluted 10:1 to clean leather and vinyl like surfaces. Since it is a soap, you need to be sure to rinse whatever you clean otherwise it will attract more dirt. For surface cleaner, I use a damp sponge to clean and then use a wet towel to do the wipedown to remove any soap.

Others can comment on carpets. Around here Meg's APC or APC+ (low sudsing) is a favorite. You can search on APC.

A few people I know use diluted Woolite. I always recommend one of the cleaners from the Detailer line that I use but some people just love Woolite. They say it really gentle and cleans well.

Several detailers I know and respect have used Woolite (usually 8:1) on leather for years with no problems. I started trying it and all I can say is - it works! Use a little less than you think you need. For dirty interiors, scrub with a soft brush, rinse with clean damp MF towel. On carpet(vac first): spray, scrub with hard bristle brush, vac, rinse with sponge or MF towel and warm water, vac, wipe down with terry cloth towel, vac and your're good.
