i heard you guys talk about this little monster, i couldn't find any info in the search on how good it works and how you like using it...
do you experience a lot of 'wickering' while you use it?
I just picked up the Bissell Little Green Machine. I was wondering, do you guys think I could use Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner+ in the machine? I do not plan on using Bissells solution because it does work very well.
If I did use APC+, would I just dillute it properly with hot water, and pour it into the machine?
Seems like it would be nice to have. I want to get one when I get some time and money.
You guy's will like how it work's. When using for stain removal make sure you pretreat the stain first. And use the other cleaning part that has a built in scrubber on it.
Looks like there are 3 models. The 1400-5, 1425 and 1425-1. The 1425 one adds a heater and the 1425-1 has the heater and a "turbo brush". Other than that, they all look the same. I looked on amazon.com and the 1425 one is $100 and the 1425-1 is $90. Guess I'll go with the higher model for $10 less.
I picked up one of these (heated version) at Target a year or so ago for around $85 I believe. What I do is to treat the carpet, mats, whatever with APC diluted 10:1 and scrub the area with a dampened All-Surface Interior Brush....
.... then, with just plain rinse water in the Bissell, I begin the process of sucking up the dirt, foam and rinse. Go over the carpet, mats, whatever several times, rinsing as you go to remove all the soap residue. Once you feel the machine is sucking up pretty clear water then allow to air dry. You'll be amazed at the disgusting black water in the tank when you're done. Ick!

I too have the 1425-1 model w/ heat and turbo brush. I do not care for the turbo brush myself b/c it doesn't do much. The brush berely spins or makes contact w/ the carpet/mat. The heat version I highly recommend as the heat will increase the cleaning power of stains.
I do what other have mentioned here. I pretreat stains as well as spray mats down w/ 10:1 APC, scrub, then remove with hot water rinse/suction from LGM. Works very well. Save your $$ and just get the hot water model w/out turbo.
My local Wal-Mart has one on sale for $68. I'm not sure which model it is. My wife just recently spilled an entire 44oz soda in her car. So this is the perfect excuss for me to buy a new toy.
I GOT THE 1425 - I MODEL THE TURBO BRUSH
IS NO GOOD. BUT THE HEAT WORKS GOOD. PRETREAT STAINS
THEN RINSE WITH THE L G M. ( OVER 50 CARS & TRUCKS AN
STILL GOING !!
I have the 1425-1 model as well. The heater feature works extremely well. The turbo brush on the other hand just makes a high winding noise and doesn't really do much.
