  • Ford Taurus Headlight Resto!

This is a Taurus that I did for one of my regular customers. He picks up cars from the local auto auction and fixes whatever needs to be fixed and then resells it. Most of the time the lights need to be redone so He calls me and I get it done.

My process is sanding with 800, 1000, and finish with 2000. Follow up with PlastX polish with a Mothers Powerball Mini on a high speed drill. The cover with a 50/50 mix of mineral spirits and minwax spar urethane wiped on with a blue scotts shop towel. Any other questions let me know and I'll try my best to answer them.

I have heard good things about 50/50 mineral spirits and urethane as a final coat.

Yes, if applied properly, it looks really great.
