yea it a daily driver and i am a little hesitant do use a hose under the hood since this will be my first time detailing a motor

If you're hesitant about using a hose under your hood, as I tend to be, you could try a rinseless clean-up job. From the looks of it your motor isn't too dirty so you could probably get by with going rinseless, especially if your car is a daily driver. Pics and description of my method:

no problem...the only thing with #40 is that it takes a long time to dry if you were to just liberally spray it on and let it air dry (as you would do with hyper dressing)..soi for #40, i spray some onto a brush and apply the dressing manually that way, and as you can see from the picture i posted, thats what i comes out like

i forgot to add...you asked about #40 under the hood...here is #40 applied to the engine bay so you can get an idea of what it looks like..

Go for it. I think that head could use some. There's a bit of corrosion on it and I think it will come out nice with a bit of elbow grease.

The rust most likely isn't going to come out...and #40 works excellent on engines

can i use my foam gun to clean my engine, and what about those rust looking spots on that metal piece, and what about using megs aluminum polish on the motor to polish it up,since i dont have hyper dressing what else can i use on the plastic and rubber parts, i have #40 and tire shine products and ultimate protectant

The best products I have used for detailing engines are Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner at 4:1, Hyperdressing 2:1, soap and water, and various brushes and either terry or cotton towels.

I might... but most are referring to hitting it with a pressure washer. Using just running water to wash off degreaser is pretty safe.

Personally, I now swear by Hyper Dressing after a light cleaning. Just spray it onto the rubber parts and walk away. Looks like you detailed every part of the engine.
