I would use a pc or hand before a rotery, the only reason that I would ever use a rotery for a last step product would be speed and I always tell everyone up front "don't except me to be fast".

Use either a W-8000 or a W-8006 polishing pads or the W-9000 or W-9006 finishing pads at anywhere from the 1200 rpm to 1500 rpm

Note: Applying waxes with a rotary is something intended for production oriented detailers, not quality minded enthusiasts. Applying waxes with a rotary buffer will tend t leave the finish looking swirly, for best appearance results, always apply waxes with a dual action polisher or by hand.

There's a difference between making paint look clean and shiny and clean and shiny with swirls, there's also a market for both types of work.

      YMMV
