  • Daimer KleenJet Pro Plus 300CS Steamer

So I got this steamer in the mail this week. It's my first steamer and I wanted something nice. They are $1100 right now. So far I've cleaned some vinyl floors, some steel wheels (no finish), and two ovens. My first impressions, especially with the ovens and wheels, is that this machine isn't quite powerful enough for me. Also, sometimes the steam seems somewhat wet. And when I turn it on and start using it, there's a funky smell coming out at first, every time it seems. Am I expecting too much? Unfortunately they only allow returns within seven days of the receipt. What do you guys think?

I'm currently using the Vapor Clean Unilux 3000, so I have no direct experience, maybe the steam cleaner needs a "break-in period"? Hence the smell, and "wetness" of the steam? I know I used the McCulloch MC1275 before purchasing this one (I know it's not even on the same playing field as yours), but it did have a weird smell and the wetness in the steam for the first maybe 2 hours of use.... after that it worked fine, it just didn't have enough pressure or heat for what I wanted to so I upgraded the the Vapor clean. You can try cleaning the tank with vinegar (fill the tank up with 50/50 water vinegar mix and let it sit for 4-6 hours, or overnight if you can, then simply keep rinsing the tank out until the smell of vinegar goes away).
