Looks awesome! Really liked seeing it all come together and im really digging the logo! Awesome job putting it all together man. Now put that thing into good use
I'll be coming to Florida within the next couple of weeks(maybe next week). We'll have to get together and meet finally.
Hey, I look forward to it! Just call anytime and I'll drive to meet you so you don't have to travel any more than necessary. I'm sure you're trying to catch up on some relaxation and spending time with your family.
Nice job on the vac system! Did you do any type of studying to figure out what you wanted, or did you just dissect a smaller system and just made your own.
Thanks MrC! I did look at other systems on the internet, not in person, called a few vac motor distributors and got lucky and found a guy that's been in the motor business for 30 years and he helped a lot. A lot of phone calls to find everything at affordable prices. Also, this idea and very helpful info came initially from Nick C. The rest I figured out on my own and did a lot of thinking about it first. It took quite awhile to find all the parts. It all could be done in a day or so now once the parts are in hand.
Hope the "Ex-Wife" doesn't want the cooler/filtering system back!
I'll give her a smaller one of mine that I tried first before I saw this bigger one in the garage loft. It has a 3" hole in each end, but other than that it will work fine!
You can't tell what's on the decals until you get within 8 feet or so. Here's a closer sample.

Reason: messed up quotes???

Well, it took awhile, but it was worth the effort. My new homemade Wet-Dry Vac/Water Reclamation system. Yes, that's a cooler (my ex-wife's pink cooler) used for the dry vac filter box. When vac'ing water, unplug the 1 1/2" hose from the cooler and hook it directly on top of the 15 gallon drum. I don't really need a reclamation system here in Florida...yet. Thought it was nice to have one anyway and it's one heck of a wet/dry vacuum!
Remote switch box controls equipment while standing outside the truck as well as water valves for filling 50 gallon tank and pumping water to pressure washer or filling wash bucket without getting in vehicle. 12 volt water pump hidden in front next to water tank. 138in water lift vac motor in poly box installed on top of water tank. Still plenty of room in rear of truck for tools, pads, products, pressure washer, LGM and misc. Whew! Now to figure how to store the vac hose when not in use. A reel will take too much room, I think. Maybe under the canopy/ladder shelf if I make my own reel. I might even have enough room for a microwave!
The generator will come in handy at the race track too for keeping the battery charged since I won't be running any belt driven accessories with the 7200 rpm race motor. Everything can be unbolted/unstrapped and taken out of the truck in about an hour if necessary when going on vacation or whatever. Don't plan on doing that anytime soon, though.
Also finished my decals in Photoshop, had the vinyl cut and installed them myself this past Tuesday. That was not easy either! I'm happy with everything so far. Everything's been tested and works great!
Well after a hard week of trials, tribulations, blood, sweat and tears (yes, I did cry a little when I banged my head on that blasted third breaklight! hee hee), this is one of those little victories that keeps me going...first pull after a week and a half since last start. I was worried about this all week. Piece of cake! I apologize if it takes awhile to load. I did optimize it for 56k connections, but still seems slow. Next...well, lets just say it will take a few days at least and be well worth it if all goes according to plans.
Good one! Trust me, the paint on the top is NOT nice. Someone did some lousy bodywork and painted over it with $500 a gallon paint! I probably won't fix it. I'll be going so fast, no one will see it anyway. And if I did fix it, where would I keep all that stuff? I'm looking at shed kits right now, as a matter of fact. I just don't have room for all my toys.
Pack up what you don't need, and ship it this way!
Wow! Good job stacking all that stuff on top of your nice paint!
-30 on the brownie point scale
