Applied 1 coat of NXT, 24 hrs later applied 2 coat, car was awesome.
1 week later washed, dryed, applied NXT again, let haze over, then removed with towel as per last time, only prob this time is the paintwork seemed very greesey and hard to eliminate haze...No i didnt over apply, so why is this happenng on a Black car?????????

    Hi gemini101

I'm surprised by your results. Since purchasing our Honda Pilot, with a high quality basecoat/clear coat finish, (Black with a blue metallic flake), I have found this to be an excellent test panel to test products on including Tech Wax.

    A couple of things,

You mention using a towel to remove the wax, is this a 100% cotton terry cloth towel?

If so, I would recommend getting your hands on a couple of premium quality microfiber polishing cloths and trying these to remove the wax. Meguiar's offers an exceptional microfiber polishing cloth called Ultimate Wipe, you might look to see if these are available in your local auto parts stores.

Another suggestion would be to go ahead and reapply the Tech Wax, only this time, try applying and then removing to only one area at a time, such as the hood, then the fender, etc. See if you can obtain good results panel by panel before trying to do the entire car again.

Microfiber is definitely the way to go when removing polishes and waxes.

    Hope this helps...

      gemini101,

It sounds like the cloth you are using for product removal is simply getting clogged with the residue of the product.
