No worries Richard!

You guys have given me a lot of help over the past few months. I guess a hijack every once in a while is acceptable


On a side note, I did my first paying customers car the other day. Thanks to you guys, it turned out fantastic! It was a 2003 Range Rover, black in color. Female driven, and she liked those automatic car washes......and not the touchless ones
I should of charged her more than what I did, but this was my first job and I didn't want to get carried away with the money.

Left her with a beautiful swirl free finish, and a gorgeous interior! The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was the plastic parts on the outside. Just couldn't get them to look right. Guess that just takes practice and time.

For many months I worked out of my car as well


Customers would be in awe that I didn't show up in a huge diesel truck. LOL


But eventually practicality got the best of me, and I built a trailer


Of course I didn't have water, electricity, an extractor, or water reclamation equipment---all the huge stuff that requires big gas guzzling detailing trucks.

But an amazing thing happened. I had customers who told me that their impression of me as a professional was sealed when they saw the trailer. Putting everything in the car to them seemed amateurish. It never occurred that way to me before, but they did have a point as far as image and dedication to the trade was concerned.

Well, I don't do this full time so a trailer isn't in my plans. I don't have a vehicle to tow a trailer and I'm not going to put a trailer hitch on my car. If someone wants to judge me on how I get to my customers and not the work I do, then they need to go elsewhere. What's that old saying? "Don't judge a book by it's cover." There is on guy here in my town that has a van who is mobile. Everybody else has a place of business for people to come to them.
