    Even under the table, $12.50 an hour is a joke to make. And yes, I agree with the others who say it hurts our business.

    Back to the original topic-yes, you can make money doing straight washes but do it right and legally. Depending on your area, $25-45 is a good starting point for wash/vac/dress tires, going up for larger vehicles. I'd definitely consider also offering full detailing services as well if you are capable.
