Seems like a lot of this talk is people disregarding the changes in auto paint technology. The single stage lacquer on my one car is very different (with regard to how things like TS oils work on it) from the ss enamel on my other car, and both are *VERY* different from the b/c on my other cars. And the really old nitrocellulose lacquers, for which products like #7 were originally designed, were totally different beasts compared to anything from the last few decades. Some of these "experts" seem to be mixing up things that were true fifty years ago with things as they are today.

And yeah, this whole thing really tends towards posturing and agendas that have nothing to do with detailing- armchair experts trolling for cyber-chumps to impress.

Does the vehicle look better or not- it's really that simple.
