  • Perhaps I should have masked!

Well, I've discolored several spots on the various rubber and plastic moulding on my black Dodge Ram. Perhaps I should have masked. I have seen several photos of cars detailed by the pros on this site and was heretofore of the opinion it would take too long to mask the trim and windows. Now I'm going to have to spend alot of time carefully and methodically cleaning up the wax residue from my truck's trim.

What's the best product you can recommend for this endeavor???

    Chrome OEM Hood Deflector
...and a G21C in the console

I like to mask off my trim... IMO its easier than removing the wax from the trim... I hate removing wax from trim, just when you think you are done your trim starts to turn white!

remember next time to mask it or if you still insist on not masking then remember to apply a conditioner/dressing to the trim so you can clean up alot easier then with nothing on the trim....

That's why I like NXT, it never stains any trim that you accidently get it on.

Gold Class trim Detailer is a magnificent polish to help you out for those bits that get polish on them. I also use it to restore lustre to faded plastics. A must have on the list

Are you being sarcastic? It's the worst for trim in my opinion.

I just used some yesterday to clean some #80 speed Glaze and #21 Synthetic Sealant from a friend's 1984 Corvette.
Sometimes it's just faster to clean than mask...
