  • Shelf life of paste wax.

Found an unopened can of meguirars #26. Also a half-use can of #16. They have got to be about 15 years old. If they appear to be okay can I still use them?

I say give it a go. I have used products just as old and they seemed to work as good as if newer.

It would never "hurt" to use a product that may be spoiled, it would potentially just not perform as well. So yes, go for it if desired. And especially paste waxes seem to hold up in storage better than liquids.

I do not think so. I once had the problem of using a half-used box of meguirars that lasted 4 years, let alone 15 years old. The texture looks good but its effectiveness is significantly reduced.

I have used numerous products that have been on the shelf longer than I would have liked and never had a issue. Give it a try on a non visible section and go from there/ Good luck

Again an old product doesn't have an ability to increase the chance of "damaging" anything, it just may not apply or work as well, but paste waxes seem to be much more stable than liquid emulsions.
