i use meguiars hi-tech soap. whats the best way to get it REALLY REALLY Sudsy....i cant ever do it

  • #2
Well, I havent used the product, but it is important to remember not every soap is extremely sudsy. This may be one of those products, but I am sure someone else here has used it to say for sure.

I tried those soap strips once... hated them.. maybe the only disapointing Meguiars product. It was a freee sample at least.

#00 is made to not create very much lather. It is a very "gentle" soap.

Does a soap have to be sudsy to clean well, or not be sudsy to be gentle? Seems like Nxt and Gold Class are both in the middle, and work very well for both?

                    Just to chime in...

This car wash soap is in the Professional Line, so pause for a moment and let us consider an interesting feature that would appeal to a Professional in the auto body collision industry as he or she goes about they day to day activites...

Besides being body shop safe, M00 is formulated to be used as a lubricant when hand wet-sanding fresh paint. When you're wet sanding fresh paint, you want to be able to see what your doing, the last thing you want is a lot of suds all over the finish, so for this reason, #00 Hi Tech Wash is a low sudsing car wash.

                    Does that make sense?

I don't remember the part number but I use Meguiars old detailers line pink soap. I recently bought about 20 or 30 gal of the stuff.

One thing that has not been brought up yet, and that is the effect that hard water can have on suds.

If your water is hard then you are not going to get a lot of suds in general.

I remember a thread where someone was complaining about a certain Meguiar's shampoo that had little suds action to it. But another member tried the same shampoo, and he said that he had suds going down the driveway!

So a lot of it can boil down to what kind of water you are using.

100% correct! Also, as said above, 00 wash is very gentile and has a lot of lubrication for wetsanding.
