  • Quick Detailer 32oz $7.99 at Autozone

I noticed some bird droppings today on my car when I parked in the KFC parking lot for lunch. Right next to the KFC is Autozone, so I decided I would pick up some Speed Detailer and a Microfiber.

Well, the Speed Detailer was $7.99 for 24oz and Quick Detailer was $7.99 for 32oz.

I purchased the Quick Detailer and a Supreme MicroFiber (they sold only single Microfibers) and they were $4.99 (a rip off)

Just thought I would let people know Autozone has 32oz of Quick Detailer for only $7.99

It is safe to store this stuff inside the car right? i.e. I can leave Quick Detailer in a hot car? I would like to have the stuff on hand with me.

The only time I have problems with leaving QD in the car is during the dead of winter, which is not a problem right now and probably not one for you due to your location. If you like the SS towel, Meguiars has three and five packs available on-line for a reasonable price.

Okay thanks. I resally do like having yet another bottle of QD. I almost think I could clean my entire car with QD, but I won't go there yet.

The nearest Pep Boys to me is in Temecula CA about 20 or so miles from where I live but only 3 miles from where I work

I get monday off, but I might pay them a visit Tuesday

Which is better BTW, Meguiar's Quick Wax or Eagle One Wax-As-U-Dry? Just currious.

I notice both are the same price but Wax-AS-You-Dry is 32 oz but Quick Wax is only 16 oz.

Either way, I know a bottle will last a long time. I want the better of the two products. IF the Meguiar's product is better, please say so as I would like the better not cheaper product.

Hands down Megs' NXT spray wax is the best you can buy. Don't look elsewhere.

My parents where asking me why ALL my products I use are Megs'... simply put, THEY ARE THE BEST! From MF to brushes to wax, I support Megs 100%

Actually Nick, you are a bit new here and so am I, but we have somehting in common. We both like hte spray wax.

However, the Spray Wax is just for Maintainence Purposes. You should use either the Nxt Tech Liquid or Paste Wax to do your major waxing and then use the spray wax between waxings.

I too like the Meguiar's Products and have their Supreme Micro Fiber for use with Quick Detail. I too support Meguiar's Products, but I am open to other products too.

I have a very short list of Non Meguiar's Products I like:
Invisible Glass (I like Nxt Glass Cleaner Better)
Zymol Wax (Like it but costs too much $$$ $65 per container is too much, so I use Nxt Tech Wax)
Rain-X for Windshild Treatment (No Meguiar's Substitute, yet)
Some Non Meguiar's Micro Fiber for Glass Cleaning. Vroom; I think.

                Meguiar's Products I Use/Like:
                Deep Crystal Step #1
                Deep Crystal Step #2
                2 Wash Mitts
                #80
                ScratchX (Hand Use Only)
                Even Coat Applicator
                Gold Class Wash
                Nxt Wash
                Gold Class Carnuba Liquid Wax
                Quick Detailer
                Quick Clay
                Quick Wax
                Nxt Tech Wax Liquid
                Nxt Tech Wax Paste
                Nxt Glass Cleaner
                Supreme Micro Fiber
                Ultra Plush Terry

I also have a G-100 which I have used just once and got great results.

On my list of things to get:
                More Quick Wax
                More Pads for the G-100
Meguiar's Tire Dressing of some sort
                5 Pack of Micro Fiber

Right Jbirk. I must have mis-understood you. I was referring to NXT spray wax as a cleaning substitute. NXT liquid goes on every 3 weeks.. and the spray wax a few times in between.

                    Okay, perfect

I don't know what you mean by a cleaning substitute though.

The Spray wax is by no means a Wash or Paint Cleaner.

The Spray Wax is simply a Wax that is very thin and easily sprayed onto an applicator. It is very easy to buff off too. It is a very easy to use wax. It is not a paint cleaner like DC #1, and it is not used to clean your car. In other words, you don't spray it on your car and wipe dirt or bugs off with it.

What you use for that is Quick Detailer or Speed Detailer. After you wipe bugs off from an area and it is free of debris like dirt that can scratch, you can apply a little spray wax to the area if you choose then buff it off when it becomes hazy.

Quick Detailer/Speed Detailer are both a sort of Car Wash Boost. They can be used to remove light dust and make a clean car even cleaner just before a show.

I don't enter any shows as my cars are not impressive enough. My use of Quick Detailer (I don't have Speed Detailer) is to remove bird droppings, bugs, and serrius road grime between washings.

For example, if I see some freshly deposited tar or bugs on a car I remove the contamination immediatly meaning don't I try to get it before it drys on my paint and hardens.

It is easier than you think too. Once a day, you pull out a Microfiber folded in quarters (means 2 sides * 4 quarters each side) then you just spray the spots and then wipe each spot with the MF. Each day you switch to a different section of the towel.

The next day you use a different Quarter of the towel. About once a week you must wash the towel.

1 Bottle of Quick Detailer will cost you $5 to $8 depending on if you get the 16 or the 32 oz container. If you go to Pep Boys you can get a 32oz for $6 if you print the coupon.

That is enough to last you a very long time if you use it for spot removal once a day.

You will want to keep one bottle in each car and a separate supply in your garage for your Clay Bars.

You can also use Speed Detailer if you would prefer that to Quick Detailer. I use QD and haven't tried Speed Detailer. All I know is Speed Detailer is more expensive near me and Quick Detailer is used by more forum memebers who undoubtedly have tried both products.

I use Nxt Tech Wax often, so I might consider buying Speed Detailer though.

You would have found it if you read this whole thread. Geeze! It only takes a minute or two to read a thread anyway.
