    Yup, definitely. In fact, it might do it better than paint strippers! I've spilled it on engine-bay rough paint before and been ok with wiping it off and washing the area quickly. But there's a warning on the bottle about how it can remove paint. I think it can bubble it off, not just thin it from the top down.
