Like oc detailer said, DCS1 is a chemical cleaner. If you want an abrasive cleaner to get rid of say waterspots, try some Scratch-X

yes it will strip wax, and we all were noobs at one point, some still are considered a noobs to the whole detaling world like myself, only way to learn is ask, or search..

To add some comments.... Deep Crystal #1 is very gentle and I have found it works very well by hand or PC. Easy to find, inexpensive and good product.

I just used it on my car with a PC and a polishing pad. The paint came out crystal clear and (literally) squeaky clean. If I wasn't so CENSORED about my car, I wouldn't have bothered with the 2nd step of using #9 just to get those last few (imaginary?) defects out of the finish before sealing it with NXT and IW 845.

This is an older pic, but the entire car now looks like this...the problem is getting a good picture of such a light color in direct sunlight

Here is what my car looked like after I used the paint cleaner then cleaner wax and finally sealed it with meguirs gold class and a coat of zymol .

DC #1 is definately an underrated product that deserves A LOT more attention and recognition that it gets.

On the abrasive scale, where does DC1 fall?
