Drip mark on Z3

My garage roof leaked a 10 inch drip of something right onto the middle of the hood of my previously flawless Alpine White Z3. I cleaned it off, but when viewed at the right angle under the fluorescent light, I can still see the outline of the drip mark. I have worked Deep Crystal Cleaner by hand for about two minutes at a time into it over ten times. The surface feels smoother than glass, but the mark won't go away. Will this method work? Will I need to try something else, such as a dual-action buffer?

try scratch x or maybe some clay

Try Scratch X and use several application's on it.

What you're probably seeing is etching or mineral deposits from the drip. The Step 1 cleaner is good, but non abrasive. I agree with what's been said above about giving Scratch-X a try.
