  • Quick detailer on New Car

Hi All, I am new and this is my first post to this forum.
My car was delivered in June05 so with all the winter Aussie rain I am washing about every week or two.
I purchased from Dealer with the complete package of Paint/Fabric Protection, which I understand that puts extra coat that should last a year.
I wash with NXT Meguiar's New Gen Car Shampoo using 2 buckets as stated on Autopia.
My question is, what can I use that is NON abrasive or strips the wax or coat off?
I've read various sites about the different detailers etc but that states that it removes the old wax etc which I at present do not need.
Can you apply a Quick Detailer afte just a standard wash? or does this also remove current product?
Interested in what others do on brand new Mini Cooper S?

Well, all brand new cars should behave about the same.

Quick detailer will not remove old wax, you can certainly use that.

It is hard with all the paint protection packages people offer, to know what to use. Claying and paint cleaners should remove old wax, so it is hard to say how they affect these protective coats. If your paint is in good condition, you should be able to use a pure polish and wax safely enough.
