I was just wondering what the average detailer does on a weekly basis. The weeks your not doing a full detail what do you do. I know its based on your surroundings mostly but give me some ideas. Do you clay a lot or use paint cleaner or polish by itself is it bad to do one of the steps and skip the rest? And one more question when you apply speed detailer or quik detailer in the middle of the week and the car is dusty does that cause scratches? Im looking for a way to keep the car nice from weekend to weekend. Thanks

I try to wash weekly, and use a quick wax/tech spray wax after a wash.
Claying 3 or 4 times a year in my area, with ColorX and Nxt Wax a bit more often.
My car is a daily driver, so I figure it gets a bit too much dust on it to really use the QD safely. I use it right away to remove bird droppings, etc that I dont want sitting on my paint.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Well, QD is meant to remove light dust. Some people QD their whole car every day. I dont, so I figure the dirt gets too heavy to try and QD the whole car safely, without adding swirls.
That said, I will use it anytime to get bird **** off, if not washing right away. A slight swirl is much easier to remove than bird droppings etched into the paint.
The Nxt Detailer is supposed to be quite nice too.. I plan to try that soon.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
