waxing question....

i just deatailed my car 2 weeks ago using the process below.

1) wash with nxt car wash
2) clayed with quick clay
3) dc #1 paint cleaner
4) dc#2 polish
5) 1st coat of nxt tech wax (paste)
6) 2nd coat of nxt tech wax (paste)

the second coat was after 12 hours

i wash my car once a week and after i wash i got over it with nxt speed detail and a coat of nxt booster spray wax.

now i would like to wax it using nxt tech wax once a month and every week wash and use booster wax.

so what prep work do i need to do when i want to wax it??
should i use the DC steps 1-2 every month before i wax???

the car is a 2004 vw gti (clear coat)
the paint is in great condition (just clayed it 2 weeks ago)

Meguiar's always teaches people to evaluate the condition of the surface in order to determine what products and processes are needed to maintain or restore the finish.

In simple terms, if between the time you last waxed your car and the time you're going to wash it, if nothing bad has happened, such as it has accumulated bonded contmainants, or been inflicted with swirls and scratches, then you should be able to wash and wax and be done.
