To all my fellow detailers,
As a detailer that's already familiar with Meguiar's consumer line, I'm looking to add a few professional products to my arsenal from the Professional Series for a specific reason.
In about a month, my manager at my dealership has asked me to perform some serious detail work on his 2 prized vehicles, but my question is, which products would you recommend from the Professional series that could help me with these issues.
The first car on the list is a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (with about 900 WHP). The car mainly sits in the garage under a cover, but recently he brought it to the dealership and the sunlight revealed some light to moderate swirls and the Victory Red paint doesn't really have the POP that it should. I know Chevrolet paints are particularly hard and I don't want to just resort to something as heavy as say M105/ M205 on my rotary and potentially destroy the paintwork.
Second up is a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe in Diamond White Tri-coat (his wife's car). She recently had the hood repainted due to an unfortunate accident and the body shop left a very strong haze in the paintwork. Again, not wanting to be too aggressive here, but strong enough to cut back the haze and restore the car's factory shine (if not better).
If the Consumer series would be more than adequate for the job, then I will stick with Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish, but if a Professional series product would work better on harder paints, then I would like to know which one works best.
Thank you so much,
From an aspiring detailer,
