  • Towel/foam applicator cleaning

    Hey guys,

    Do you clean your MF towels right after you use them on your vehicle, or do you let them sit for awhile and collect before washing? Also, how about the foam applicators? I usually wash it in dawn soap to get the bulk of the product out, and then I throw them in the wash. What is the best soap to use on them?

    Also, what does "UP" stand for when it is referred to that on this forum?

    I am going to order some more supreme towel shine. How many do you all have? I was planning on ordering 5 (already have 2).

    Thanks!

    Well I have quite a collection of microfiber towels so for me I can let them collect until I get a larger load so that I can wash them. I do separate my towels when washing. For example anything that touches the paint is washed together. Towels that touch the glass are washed separately as are towels that are used for door jambs, wheels and tires (aka all purpose towels).

    I use a dedicated microfiber cleaner to wash my towels. I have found these to keep the towels lasting a little longer than regular laundry detergent. I have used 3D Towel Klee, Blackfire Microfiber Cleaner, McKee's cleaner and Miro Restore. All do the same thing.

    UP = Ultimate Polish

    I have more than 5 supreme shines. I don't know the number exactly. I would also recommend you pick up some water magnets to dry your car.

      My wax (paint application), window, upholstery towels and pads go in the clothes washer with Tide. Wheel, door jamb, etc. towels go in a second load, again with Tide
      I have lost count of the number of MF towels I have. Soft blue ones for paint, green for windows, and some off color yellow for seats. Wheels, doors jam etc. towels are just old household towels that come from the bathrooms or the swimming pool as they get old.
