  • Waxing car after driving it back home? Or next day?

I'd like to wax my new black car. However, I'm in a dilemma.

The only way I can wash it is by taking it to a self-wash that is like a mile away since I live in an apartment. Our apartment garage is not too dark but not the brightest either.

I want to wash it at a time when the sun is no longer out which is by 5-ish but then by the time I start the wax, I'm worrying that it will be too dark and I won't see anything.

Maybe my best bet is to wash it early in the morning and dry it up and apply the wax? Can I use the wax when the sun is out?

    Or

Wash the car around the evening and then wax it the next day in the morning? I can wipe down any dirt or dust using the Meguiar's D15501 Last Touch Spray Detailer?

Minimize the time between the wash and the wax. Dust will continually fall on the car, even inside a garage. Always best to apply wax on a cool panel.

Maybe wash the car in the early morning and apply wax after, before the sun heats up the panel much.
