do this statement is also true while working with a nano skin sponge?
The clay may tend to grab at first, then you will feel it break free and easily glide as the contaminants are removed.

I do not have the sponge, but I do use (on occasion) the nano skin cloth, and it does tend to grab first, if there is heavy contaminants. I would guess the sponge would be the same. As for the whole nano skin experience, I still prefer clay.

I love the pad. Throw iron my da and saves me a lot of time. Although I still have clay for hard to reach spots.

The nano skin sponge will not feel grabby, if it's not gliding smoothly on the surface you are not using sufficient lubricant.

This. The nanoskin stuff requires more lubrication than traditional clay.

Also make sure to break it in on the glass of the car first before using it on paint. This will help soften the polymers on the sponge/towel/mitt/pad.

I know Mike Phillips recommends using the nanoskin lube because it was designed to work with the product.

I've had good luck with using D114, and also car wash soap.
