School me on glazes?

So my usual routine is the following:

1. 2 Bucket Wash
2. Ultimate Compound
3. Ultimate Polish
4. Ultimate Wax

SO I understand the glaze is applied between a polish and wax applications. But that's all I know.

Do I need it? Will it give my car that wet paint look? Pros? Cons?

Ultimate polish has enough polishing oils in it and you don't need it. Glazes pretty much fill in defects.
