  • How to differentiate between new vs old GC wax?

    Hi,

I just picked up a Gold Class Liquid wax and Gold Class Detailer combo from Costco. Now, how do I know whether what I have is the old GC or new GC. I have read posts where people like the new one, but it is not clear to me how to differentiate?

Also, which "quick/spray wax" is compatible with GC liquid wax?

    Thanks,

It says something at the top of the package like "the most reflective GC in history,"

plus something about the enhanced durability.

Like Jeff mentioned, the new Gold Class will state on the packaging,

      With enhanced durability

However, I think the new formula started shipping in the bottle before the new packaging was introduced. You could possibly call Customer Care at 1-800-347-5700 and they might be able to help with this.

Either of Meguiar's spray waxes will work with Gold Class Liquid Wax, the primary difference is Meguiar's Quik Wax contains natural ingredients like Carnauba wax, while NXT Spray Wax is all synthetic.

Thanks Mike and Jeff. I think I have the new one, since the packaging does mention "with enhanced durability".

For reference, I did some search on google for GC liquid wax. I think here is what the old and new packaging says:

Old one: "The most reflective car wax in our history"

New one: "The most reflective gold class wax ever, with enhanced durability"
